Respectful Split After Four Years of Marriage
In October 2021, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their divorce. They had been married for four years.
They shared a joint statement asking for privacy and respect.
In 2023, Chaitanya spoke on the Raw Talks With VK podcast. He said:
“We wanted to go our own ways. For our own reasons, we have taken this decision and we respect each other. We are moving on in our lives, in our own way.”
Samantha also opened up about the tough times. She said:
“I see all of the lows, all the days I didn’t want to get out of bed. I see the crying. I see the constant asking my mom if I’m going to be okay.”
How Instagram Sparked New Love
In 2022, one year after the divorce, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala started talking.
Sobhita said in a 2025 interview that she made the first move.
She said:
“I went to his profile and saw that he was following only around 70 people, including me.”
She followed him back and replied to one of his Instagram stories. This led to their first conversation.
Private Wedding With Family Roots
The couple dated quietly for two years.
They got engaged in August 2024.
On December 4, 2024, they married at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
This studio belongs to Chaitanya’s family and honours his grandfather, actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
The ceremony was a traditional Telugu wedding with close family and friends.
Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni shared photos after the wedding, confirming the marriage.
Shared Dreams for the Future
Chaitanya spoke about his future plans on The Rana Daggubati Show in 2023:
“Happily married, couple of kids.”
Sobhita told Galatta India in 2023:
“I always wanted to feel the motherhood experience. I was very clear about it. I always saw myself getting married.”
They share similar hopes for their future.
