A Dream Debut with Uppena
Krithi Shetty stepped into Telugu cinema like a star ready to shine. In 2021, she made her film debut with Uppena, opposite Panja Vaisshnav Tej. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, became a box office sensation.
Uppena grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide. The film’s music, emotional plot, and Krithi’s performance drew praise from audiences and critics alike. She received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South, instantly becoming a youth icon. ALSO READ: Varsham: Mahesh Walked Out, Prabhas Walked In | What Happened
Hits Followed, Then Came Flops
After Uppena, Krithi acted in Shyam Singha Roy and Bangarraju. Both were moderate hits, helping her keep the momentum.
But the streak didn’t last long.
Her later films — The Warriorr, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, and Macherla Niyojakavargam — didn’t click at the box office. The back-to-back flops raised doubts about her staying power.
In 2023, she also made her Malayalam debut in ARM, which received mixed responses. ALSO READ: Veera Mallu Release Update: All You Need to Know

The story involves a futuristic twist — a man travels to 2035 with a gadget in search of love. The film has caught attention for its unique plot and flashy visuals.
On Instagram, Vignesh Shivan announced:
“LIK from September 18th. Need all your blessings, love & support.”

Comeback in Sight?
Krithi Shetty is still just 21 years old. She’s seen the highs of fame and the lows of fading out — all within a short span.
Now, with Love Insurance Kompany, she’s betting on a fresh start. She’s learning, evolving, and not backing away.
From a blockbuster debut to a string of flops, Krithi Shetty is walking the comeback road — and this time, with language, learning, and love on her side.
