“Don’t Involve Me”: Allu Aravind Breaks Silence After Pawan Kalyan’s Comments on Tollywood Monopoly

Hyderabad, May 26 — Renowned Tollywood producer Allu Aravind has broken his silence after actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made strong comments about a group allegedly monopolizing the Telugu film industry. The controversy arose after Kalyan suggested that a group of four powerful individuals—referred to as “Aa Naluguru” (Those Four)—were working behind the scenes to control theatre operations and had even tried to block the release of his upcoming film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, slated for June 12.

Reacting to the allegations, Allu Aravind firmly distanced himself from the issue and denied any involvement in the so-called group. Speaking at a press meet, he said,

> “I am not part of those four. Our company does not own a single theatre in Telangana, except AAA. Even in Andhra Pradesh, our theatre lease agreements have ended. Out of 1,500 theatres, we operate only around 15, and those will also be handed over soon.”

Aravind emphasized that his production house, Geetha Arts, is focused purely on content creation and not theatre ownership or distribution politics. He criticized the decision to shut down theatres around the time of Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s release, calling it unfair and damaging to the industry’s image.

> “How can anyone stop the release of Kalyan’s film when he is not just an actor but now a Deputy CM representing our industry? These kinds of actions create division and are not good for Tollywood’s future,” he said.

The senior producer also highlighted the need for better collaboration between the film industry and the government. He recalled that several efforts to initiate discussions with the state were ignored in the past and that now is the time for change.

> “No business can thrive without government support. It’s not wise to avoid engagement and only approach the government when there is a crisis,” Aravind added.

This statement comes at a time when the Telugu film industry is facing internal rifts and external challenges, including theatre management issues and shifting political equations.

Conclusion:
Allu Aravind’s clarification has added a new perspective to the ongoing debate within Tollywood. His call for unity and transparency resonates with many in the industry who are seeking a healthier, politics-free creative space. With Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s release just weeks away, all eyes are on how the industry navigates this sensitive period.
